Tra-la-la, let's go crusading!
Aug. 18th, 2004 06:56 pmGuess what! I've got an interview tomorrow, with a recruiting firm in downtown Chicago! Right across from the Sears Tower! Supercool. This lady calls me up today and says she saw my resume on Monster.com (which probably got a bump to the front of the line because I updated it yesterday) and wants me to come in for an interview. They apparently work with a bunch of downtown and West-Loop companies and find them peons. I can do peon. Sounds good to me. Especially since my investigations have turned up the fact that it is not a difficult commute by Metra and CTA to get there.
So today I used my iron for the first time and spiffed up my brown slacks, and tomorrow Mike and I will head out for our first foray into the big city since moving in. I'm excited! Even if it doesn't work out, I'll be riding the Metra for the first time, which is sure to be an experience. And in unrelated news, we will have to break out the car and head to the suburbs this weekend to get groceries. I made chicken and cheese crepes last night, which used up the last of our milk. I am a culinary genius.
Oh, and by the way, I got a new cell phone, should anyone wish to get in touch. My new number is 773-218-9815. Mike has a new phone number too, but I don't remember it right now, and neither does he. Lucky I have it on my speed dial for emergencies. =)
