Whistling, whistling, whistling, whistling, dark dark dark dark!

Mike is officially tonsil-free! We went in early this morning and the doctor stole them with the cunning use of anesthetic. We have laid in copious supplies of pudding, popsicles, mashed potatoes, soup, and ice cream, so he should be set for the next few days. He responded way better to the general anesthetic than I did when I got my wisdom teeth pulled, which was a relief. I had a very funny reaction that involved uncontrollable weeping and licking the car windows on the way home. He was lucid half-an-hour after the surgery. It was almost anti-climactic.

I got to eat lunch with Lori today! It was awesome! She and Brad are in visiting from California because, get this, Brad is coming to U of I for school next year. We'll be living in the same city again, or near enough as to make no never mind. Squee! We couldn't talk long because I couldn't leave Mike alone too much and she had to go to meetings with Brad, but it was still great to catch up.

The Carbolic Ball was tonight, and I was kind of sad to miss it. That's the law school prom, named after the famous Carbolic Smoke Ball case in Contracts. That's lawyer humor, right there. Oh well. At least we knew about the conflicting surgery far enough in advance that I didn't get a dress or make plans or anything. Now we just have to hope that it was worth it to reschedule the surgery to this day in the hopes that insurance will cover it.

Anyway, I've got stuff to do. I took a nap this afternoon, but now I need to finish my app to Mike's online game and maybe even do a little studying. I can't believe how quickly this semester has flown by. It's kind of scary.
