There was so much gaming this week. Oh my God. If I were a smoker, I'd be laying in bed right now with a lazy smile and a cigarette. You know the picture. Lauren ran us through a whole chapter of a 7th Sea game, four sessions, and it was awesome and hilarious. I was playing an expatriate Castillian archaeologist with the Explorer's Guild, working for an idiotic-but-goodhearted-and-extremely-weathly Montaignan noble (that was Mike) Wes was the sailor and general joat, and Reid came in for the last session as another explorer, but one with a sword school, so he could fight. We all ended up independently taking hubrises or backgrounds related to romance, which sort of gave a flavor and theme to the game. Mine was Lost Love, which is not easy to get into a first session of a game, but that just means that there must be MORE gaming!
In other news, Mike and I are getting into an online Aberrant game. It's very exciting. Haven't played Aberrant in ages, and I really wanted to. I've got a mega-intelligent inventor type who doesn't need to sleep, and Mike has a tall angular veterinarian (as opposed to the Creeping Kid, for my new film, The Creeping Kid!) It's a good time to start as well, as I am on Spring Break this coming week. Thank God! Plenty of time to get the ball rolling before the Apellate Brief sneaks up and kicks my ass again.
I had to segregate the budgies yesterday. Dani is acting funny, I'm a bit worried she's planning to lay an egg. I squirt-bottled the romance from her and Jeremy's life whenever I got the chance, but I do spend a lot of the day at school. And apparently Jeremy's success has inspired Aegis, who is now escalating his courtship of Dana. But she is strong-willed and everytime he tries to step on her back, she lunges at him and makes it clear that she is perfectly capable of wiping the floor with his white feathery tail. So much drama in the aviary!
