I was sick yesterday, and still feel pretty shitty today. Mike is off doing his thesisy thing, so I am hanging out here and taking online tests, because they do not require me to leave this chair.

This is just to say that my hair smells absolutely fantastic right now. I took a bath this afternoon and decided to wash it with bar soap for once, on the advice of some websites that I read, which recommend that occasionally to get shampoo buildup out of your hair. So I used this wonderful lavender aromatherapy soap that Mike's mom sent me in the last care package we got from them, and then used a little bit of Thermasilk conditioner. My hair's not totally dry yet, but it smells great. And my scalp doesn't itch or anything, which is a good sign.

You know, speaking of Mike's mom, I have to say I think I lucked out there, in the whole mother-in-law lottery. I really like Melissa, she's cool. She and I have a lot in common, besides the fact that we both married guys named Mike who are much taller than us. You read all these stories about scary mothers in law who never think any girl is good enough for their baby boy, and I'm very glad not to have to deal with that. I may not understand Mike's folks a lot of the time, but they're really nice people. So yeah, that's cool. And they send us good presents. =)
