Okay, it's been quite a long night, and I've stayed up through all of it. But that's okay, because it's finally gotten just a little bit cool, which means I'll be able to go to sleep faster! Excellent! The birds are already sleeping, although I had to enforce that with the Blanket of Silencing. They went to the vet today for exams and wingclipping, I had to take them outside to play three times just to get back in their good graces. It's really something, though, when I can get both of them to sit docile on my shoulder for a long time as we walk across campus, I feel like Big Time Animal Handler. =)
Because it is very early in the morning, I'm feeling oooh, just a tad bit squirrely. I've spent the last hour engaging in Malkavian World Conquest. This game I'm playing, called Fiefdom, has a feature where you can make alliances with other players to share soldiers for attacks on other fiefdoms. One of the fiefdoms I own is part of a huge-ass alliance of about 12 countries, varying sizes and strengths. Last night, the world also contained half a dozen non-aligned countries, which were fair game to us. Note the use of the past tense. I decided they were cluttering up the board, and, since none of my allies are awake right now, dragged all their armies along with me to stomp out the six other countries. We took heavy losses. But we won! Yay! We didn't actually accomplish anything! But it was FUN! Boy my allies are gonna be surprised when they see what I did this morning! I hope they don't vote me out of the treaty. =P
I should lay down and try to sleep, but it will probably be fruitless. Might as well try now, though, before the convection oven that is the world starts heating up again.
