Streaking through the morning haze, focal point of a distant gaze, searching for better days

I took my first two Cefzil, last night and this morning, and I think my ears are starting to feel better already. Now the challenge becomes remembering to keep taking the pills for the next nine days. Well, I'll look on the bright side and remember that at least when it's me taking the antibiotics, no one's getting shot with an eyedropper. We still haven't got the Nystantin totally off the wall from last time Danny had a run of medication. =P

I'm very much looking forward to this weekend, hanging out with friends is exactly what I need right now. Not that vacationing with family wasn't fun, but there's just something about spending time with buddies right before school starts. Of course, that means I should be cleaning right now instead of sitting here yakking at my livejournal. Especially if I want to pick up a foster kitten next week. But it's a cloudy, gloomy morning for August, and it feels nice to cuddle on the couch and write while I watch Victoria. She is sitting on the birdcage in another of her endless exercises in frustration. She wants the birds so badly, and cannot even shake the cage by jumping on it. The birds are not even nervous of her sitting there. Poor kitty, she is thwarted at every turn.

Edit: And this is one of my new Choo-Choo icons. I added another five or six the other week, and I think this is the first time I've used one.
