Note to myself: When you are all moved in down in Champaign, head out to Urbana and get signed up for the National Bone Marrow Registry. It's not very expensive there, only 25 dollars and you're registered till 61 years old. Not a bad price for the chance to maybe save someone's life one day. Also think of some way to classify yourself as a minority, and they'll waive the charge entirely. Probably not much chance of this, you are just too white. In any case, it is always good to know where to go to give blood. But do not trust the regional blood centers, they will not protect you from the Terrible Secret of Space.
In other news, there is not much else to tell. Very boring day today, full of work and other unpleasant things. I've started making some cranes for Megan's wedding present out of this pretty iridescent origami paper I unearthed on my bookshelf. Who says no good ever came out of packing? It's not easy to work with, but the results are very nice. Cranes made out of pink pearl. If I really work on it, I'll get enough to fill the bottom of the crock pot we're giving her for a wedding present. Crock pots are a dime a dozen, but you don't often get one full of good luck!
Mike is going to be gone this evening, so I will be bored when I get home from work. I'll probably just play Civ II and try and pack some. Maybe I will talk to people. People seem to be around on Wednesdays. Except when they are elsewhere. Oh, and if we ever get the scanner up and running here at work, I'll post the cool picture Lauren took of Joe and Karen. A very nice character moment, not to mention quite a good look for yours truly. I should wear flat white makeup all the time, it hides my chins like a dream. =)
