Today Mike got an advisor for his thesis paper! The head of the history department agreed to advise him after she saw how much work he'd put in on even the outline for his paper. I'm so excited and proud for him! When I got home from work today, I started making a special meal for him. He had class at six, so I had lots of time. Now he is coming home!

Anne, who is a sweetheart, has gone to get him for me, after I gave her instructions. They should be home any minute, unless God forbid, they get lost. I have the drinks on the table, the special tablecloth and placemats on, and the candles lit on the centerpiece. And Victoria locked away in the bedroom because she won't stop jumping on the damn table. =P

This is the first really nice dinner we've had at home. I'm so nervous! I hope everything tastes good and is still appropriately hot or cold. I've already nuked the corn once. Please, please don't let them have gotten lost... I don't even have a phone, so all I can do is wait. This will be a fantastic dinner, if only it doesn't stand too long...
