So my dad and Kirsten are coming up to my place tomorrow for an overnight. The Bears play on Sunday, and they're staying at our place and heading out to the game. I've been baking up a storm in preparation, because I love to have an audience. My mom was supposed to come too, but she has pneumonia in both lungs and is not feeling too active. Since this morning, I have baked three dozen Snickerdoodles and four dozen chocolate-chocolate chip walnut cookies. I'm trying to decide if I ought to make a cake as well. Probably not, I suppose. I have saved plenty of chocolate and peanut butter and toffee chips to make cookies for AnimeIowa. We've also stocked up on sandwich fixings, so we can hopefully brown bag (or rather blue cooler) the entire weekend. It will help alleviate my guilt that I cannot stop spending money. Just dribs and drabs here and there, no hundred dollar purchases or anything, but it does add up.
Speaking of which, does anyone need new dice? I got an eBay coupon and used it towards another pound of dice, some of which I'm sure I won't be wanting to keep. So let me know and I'll look you up when I'm on campus next Thursday and Friday, and I will sell them to you for cost. Good deal, huh? They'll probably be a little more expensive than the ones I sold before, since the last time was two pounds and so less cost-per-dice, but it shouldn't be more than 30-35 cents per. Which is not too bad. The really cool gaming store Mike and I went to this week had dice for a dollar apiece. Yikes! But they also had a massive selection of gaming books, which was cool. We bought the new edition of Call of Cthulhu (not the D20 version, which is an abomination in every sense of the word). Mike is already most of the way through it.
So now all I have to do is finish cleaning and vacuuming the house before tomorrow. Mike cleaned the living room last night, and it looks very nice, but unfortunately many of the items from the living room are now decorating the floor in the bedroom. So that must be dealt with, somehow. And more laundry. There is always laundry. Ack.
