I won't write, don't ask me...
Apr. 13th, 2004 03:59 amI am looking for a sample of my own writing. It is very difficult to find. I write constantly, memos, journal entries, creative writing, one page papers. But they're not writing samples. I'm not really sure what is. But I have to take one with me Wednesday to Kirkland and Ellis, and it has to be good.
So far the closest thing I've found that I kind of like is a twelve-page paper on Zelman versus Simmons-Harris, the Ohio school vouchers case. I wrote it two years ago, back when I was taking Con Law. The case was just coming up in front of the Supreme Court, and I analyzed it and decided that it didn't violate the Establishment Clause. Looking at Findlaw.com, I see the Supreme Court agreed with me, which is gratifying.
But it's a paper I wrote a long time ago, and I don't know that I have anything better. What do offices want in a writing sample anyhow? Any ideas?
