I'll build a wheelchair ramp to your heart
Feb. 9th, 2004 03:02 amSo, once again, it's pretty late. Felt rotten most of the day today. I think I woke up with a combination of stomach flu and hangover, stemming from hardly eating anything yesterday, then drinking heavily spiked cocoa afterwards. So I slept most of the day, which was nice. Of course, now it means that it's nearly three am and I have a second hour and I'm just not quite ready for sleep. But I'm laying off the cocoa, which can only be seen as an improvement.
Mixed reaction to this weekend's game. Several enthusiastic comments, several barbed ones. Like usual, I guess. Oh well, there's only so much you can do. My tenure here is almost up, so now is the time to look ahead, tie up the loose ends, and fix up as many of the broken bits as I can before I go.
Speaking of which, LARC went through finance committee tonight, so here's much hoping that we pass with some sort of a budget on Thursday. Hell, 20 dollars and a copy card will be a big step up for us, in terms of access to school funds. Chris sort of laughed at the size of the constitution, which he said was "nearly as big as Senate's," but again, it's all looking to the future. Ron taught me well when we were starting up Debate, you have to have a constitution in case things in the future aren't the way they are now. Because, of course, they won't be. In future years, there will be different games under the LARC aegis, with different storytellers, who may or may not get along. And I'd hate to see this hopeful, helpful thing we're trying to create become a vehicle for anyone's personal vendetta. Hopefully, the constitution will help curtail that, as long as people remember it and it doesn't get lost or something like that. I've given the master copy to Lauren to keep ahold of, since I am the worst person to be keeping anything for posterity.
Anyhow, spent some time with Paint tonight, I'm up to 32 icons in my personal collection. Very happy with that. Of course, it means I am probably going to pony up the extra money when it comes time to renew my account. Clever LiveJournal, very clever....
