"Charge for the guns" he said...
Feb. 10th, 2003 02:34 amWell, the LARP is done, or mostly done, at least. There's still a dangling scene we have to clean up sometime before downtime can get underway, but for the most part, it's done. And I'm feeling fairly gratified. There were a few problems, a few miscommunications and unforseen issues, but from what I've heard, people really enjoyed themselves. Which is good, because otherwise all that work I did would be for nothing, and that would suck a lot.
I'm learning more and more about this whole business. I still have a long way to go, but I'm feeling more confident. Helping to plan out the events of a night and then watching them unfold in ways that are both similar and different than what I thought would happen is really a lot of fun. And there are times I'm talking to someone and I want to say "No, no, you've got it all wrong! This is what's really going on!" But I don't, and that's a good thing too. =)
Anyhow, I'm really tired, and even this much rambling is looking kind of weird to me. So I'm going to let it stand as is and go to bed. But I'm making a note to myself as well, remember, for future reference, how fecking long fight scenes take in LARP. Ye gods.
